For many single mothers, reliable transportation is more than just a convenience—it is a vital gateway to safety, self-reliance, and dignity. Through the Driving for Single Mothers program, Chanty reclaimed control over her daily life. Here is her inspiring journey in her own words.

Q: Before joining the Driving for Single Mothers program, what challenges did you face without a driver’s license or a vehicle?

Chanty:

Before joining the program, I struggled to get to work, the store, and my classes. Winter made everything even harder, and I suffered a lot because I could not travel easily.

Q: What has changed in your life since participating in the program?

Chanty:

I feel safer and freer to do the things I need and want to do. I no longer have to depend on people who may disrespect or humiliate women before offering help.

Q: How has the program strengthened your confidence and independence?

Chanty:

It has helped me believe in myself and live more independently. I have regained a sense of dignity and control over my life.

Q: What would you say to a donor who is considering supporting this program?

Chanty:

Please consider supporting this program. It helps many people. We once felt humiliated and worthless, but through this program, we have regained our sense of value. Your support can help other single mothers find greater safety, freedom, and independence. May God bless you for helping us.
